Christmas in July! Finally an Anniversary to Call my Own!

After years of searching online, including a bizarre encounter with a desperate doctor’s post on Craigslist, I finally succeeded in obtaining my very own copy of the extremely rare Axis & Allies: 50th Anniversary Edition, which ordinarily fetches a massive price. Thankfully I totally lucked out and managed to acquire my copy at barely above the original retail price. I was sure the listing I noticed was too good to be true, but after a painless transaction, I can now proudly declare that I finally own what is easily my favourite release of Axis & Allies to date!

A pristine board sits ready for another march into the abyss.

The board is truly epic in scale, and features a beautiful representation of all theatres of conflict relevant to the Second World War.

Can you contain Mussolini’s humble war machine?

The addition of Italy alone makes Axis & Allies: 50th Anniversary Edition worth the price of admission. Although not a major player in average rounds, Italy is definitely a worthy partner to the Axis cause, and can cause plenty of irritation for the Allies if left alone in North Africa and the Mediterranean Sea.

An Axis fleet conducts join operations.

Overall I’m thrilled to finally add Axis & Allies: 50th Anniversary Edition to my collection. I also really can’t express how relieved I was to find such a terrific bargain on what I consider an amazing collectible. Thanks, Internet!
